To call Louis C.K. just a stand up comedian would be an insult to a career that has spanned over 30 years. He’s a multi-talented performer with incredible success as a writer, producer, actor, and director of some of the most hilarious and influential shows that include not only his own show Louis but countless others like The Chris Rock Show, David Letterman, The Dana Carvey Show, and much much more.
While Louis C.K. went all in with his “White privilege” opening monologue it was one of his less fine moments that got the biggest laugh of the night. As I said before C.K. is a multi-talented guy but I think we can all agree if there’s one area of his repertoire that needs some work, it’s his ability to do accents.
In a skit where he and Kate McKinnon are acting as Polish Immigrants, Louis C.K. demonstrated that he cannot for the life of him do a Polish Accent, let alone any accents. At more than one point in the skit both actors lost it and it seemed like Louis C.K. did at least 10 accents during the course of the scene. There was even a moment he sounded exactly like Borat. At this point the actors lost it again. It was a humbling moment but also easily one of the funniest of the night.
