A Twin Peaks Seinfeld Mashup That Works Better Than You Think

If there are two series from the 90s you would never, ever put in the same sentence it’s Seinfeld and Twin Peaks.   First of all, there’s just no reason to.  Second of all these two shows couldn’t be farther from each other if they tried.   Seinfeld was a comedy rife with sarcasm, “nothingness,” and shallow, callous behavior that made us laugh to no end because it mirrored our own lives.  Twin Peaks? About as serious and out there as any show will get.   I mean can you picture Larry David and David Lynch hanging out?  Actually I can.

Anyway, when I first saw this mashup I was as skeptical as anyone would be, but thanks to the work of musician Maximilian Petrosky these shows can co-exist in a way we never thought possible. If you’ve never seen Twin Peaks before then you should know that the music is one of the most impactful elements of the entire series. It’s so strange hearing these two themes mashed together, considering the shows from which they originated could not possibly be more different.

Then again, that’s what you gotta love about the internet.  Check out the clip below
