Russian President Vladimir Putin is speaking at a plenary session of the International Arctic Forum, dubbed ‘The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’. The conference is a major platform for discussing the problems and prospects of the Arctic. About 2,000 guests are expected at the forum in Russia’s northwestern city of Arkhangelsk, including Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and Iceland’s president, Gudni Johannesson.
At one point in this interview Russia President Vladimir Putin denied claims that the country tampered with the 2016 U.S. presidential election. In the clip, Putin is asked about interfering with the election, to which Putin responds: “Watch my lips: No.” You mean “Ready my lips?” Way to misquote us there buddy. He also called claims of meddling with the US election “fictional.”
Well, that settles it. I’m satisfied. You guys satisfied? I mean you just heard it from the horse’s mouth. Nothing left to see her folks. Let’s move on, continue destroying health care, climate change and everything else we’ve been working for in the last 8 years.
As long as Putin says Russia didn’t interfere then is MUST be true. Only one problem.
The inquiry comes after FBI Director James Comey confirmed that Russia did in fact have an “influence” on the election. However, he said that there is no evidence of Russia changing votes in the election. Ahhhh. Guess we still have some work to do.
