Technology is almost beginning to outpace our own creativity. At some point our own technology is going to be creating technology and at that point all bets are off: the robot apocalypse will happen. One of the areas where technology is rapidly growing is the automobile industry. The kinds of cars we used to see in futuristic movies are now commonplace. With the exception of the flying car, automobiles today can self drive, speak, and do much of the things we used to only dream about in film and television. In addition to technology, speed is also becoming a factor.
Though I’m not sure why because speed limits have been the same for at least 50 years. But that’s besides the point. When you’re talking speed and movie cars, look no further than the Techrules Ren which is a cross between the Batmobile and perhaps a UFO.
This supercar features proprietary Turbine-Recharging Electric Vehicle (TREV) technology and was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The Ren, which is a production car and not a concept, has an aerospace-inspired design crafted by designers Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro. It also sports a 1,287 HP
Techrules promises the Ren will enter low-series production in 2018 and the company has been testing at the Monza Circuit in Italy. A limited run of track versions will also be available that are hand built by L.M Gianetti in Italy.
