While all eyes are on a potential Emma Watson photo scandal (which I’m sure will not even be remotely true) and her upcoming film Beauty and The Beast this weekend, the biggest movie news has got to be the initial reception Pixar’s new movie Coco is getting. The movie isn’t even out yet but it’s trailer has gotten a resounding amount of positive comments, and rightfully so.
The movie follows Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), a young aspiring guitarist and fan of Mexican guitarist Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt), on a journey to the Land of the Dead. The film was inspired by the Mexican holiday DÃa de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead.
Its got every bell and whistle that a Pixar film should have: incredible animation, a solid soundtrack, great voices (Bratt is incredible), and a solid story. Be ready for a considerable amount of hype to start generating over this move in the next few weeks. I cannot believe how many articles are popping up about this trailer right now.
