Scorpion just referenced the ridiculous Syfy Sharknado franchise with their play on words title of their latest episode “Sharknerdo.” For that reason and that reason alone we feel compelled to share a sneak peek at what’s going on in tonight’s episode. Tensions seem to be coming back on Scorpion. While Paige’s time with her mom (guest star Lea Thompson) made their relationship 100 times better, it didn’t exactly help her with Walter. So the show decided to have these two confront their issues in the middle of the Pacific Ocean in a raft surrounded by sharks. According to the show’s synopsis:
The team’s treasure-hunting mission goes awry when Paige and Walter’s boat explodes, leaving the couple with nothing but time and each other. In this clip, Walter blames her for their predicament – because of course he does – but his reasoning is, well, surprisingly emotional. Elyes Gabel fires on all cylinders while giving us a brief glimpse into his character’s aching heart.
So why are there sharks? Well, why not have sharks when you’re stranded in the middle of the ocean? Plus the episode is called “Sharknerdo” so it’s impossible to not have sharks right? Put it this way, Scorpion would not be the show it is without inducing a little bit of fear in its viewers, even in the most “heart-warming” of moments.
