Nashville picks up one month after last week’s episode and this time the tour has a couple of new of visitors! Rayna brings her girls, Juliette brings her mom and her sponsor and Deacon brings his new girlfriend? Let the fun begin!
The tour continues in New York but back in Nashville Scarlett and Gunnar are completely consumed by one another and you can see the love growing. Too bad Scarlett has yet to tell Gunnar about her solo record deal! In another hot development, the singing duo has a new neighbor, Will, and he is a very hot cowboy. Oh, and he is a musician–duh.
Once Gunnar discovers that Scarlett has a solo record deal and that she has been hiding it from him, he turns to Will for some male bonding. Don’t worry, no strip clubs or stupid moves on Gunnar’s part, just some beer, a bonfire and writing music. Very hot!
In another part of Nashville, Teddy has broken the “no Peggy in our house” rule and has been having a little too much fun while the girls are away–yikes! Back on tour however, Rayna is trying to keep her daughters from following in Juliette’s footsteps and becoming rock stars too young despite their natural talent.
While on tour, Juliette begins leaning on her mother’s sponsor, Dante, for business help after seeing Rayna’s face on a giant billboard in Times Square. After Dante neglects his job as a sponsor and caters to Juliette, the two sleep together…not surprising at all. I wonder what Juliette’s mother will think of this?
As Juliette spices up her love life, Deacon takes a step back and looks at his tour life. After being with Stacey for a month and getting Rayna’s blessing (kind of), Deacon tells Stacey that maybe it is time to stop touring and just go home. Ah, no Deacon? This is terrible!
In an attempt to please her two daughters, Rayna takes her sister’s advice and tells the girls that she is supportive of their dreams but she wants them to take their time getting there. Then in an adorable turn of events she lets the girls do her sound check and perform for the whole crew…so sweet!
Back in Nashville Scarlett tells Gunnar that she won’t take the deal without him and then leaves to work. Gunnar is obviously waiting for her when she gets home and tells her to take it. He was never mad that she got the deal; he was upset that she didn’t tell him. To make the moment even better he tells her he is proud of her and that he loves her…swoon!
If that’s too much lovey-dovey moments at one time, don’t freight the end of “I Saw the Light” is a doozy. As Peggy waits in Rayna’s home for Teddy to come home (gross) Lamar (Rayna’s dad) comes in and tells her that she will convince Teddy to move the stadium back to his land or else! He has proof that she is the one who leaked Teddy and Rayna’s divorce to the tabloids and spread all the rumors. The plot thickens!
Peggy starts to work her magic over Teddy as Lamar tells his partners that everything is under control. Lamar then takes a sip of his whisky and has a heart attack!
Will he be okay? Who will help Rayna during this crisis, Deacon or Teddy? My bet is on Deacon! Tune in next week for all the answers.
