What Caused The Fire Incident At Carrie Underwood’s Home?
At 9:42 PM on Sunday, June 16, 2024, Williamson County Fire and Rescue received a distress call about a fire on a home property. At the time of their dispatch, the crews had no idea it was at the property of the “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer. According to a spokesperson for the fire department, all eight of its stations responded to the fire alarm call and reported to the 400-acre Tennessee property. According to the report presented by fire officials to the local news station WKRN News 2, first responders found a fully involved fire in the property’s garage.
With the property in a remote location, the crews had to travel up a long road and a long driveway before accessing the property’s residential area. However, the crews quickly took control of the garage fire, thanks in no small part to the 10,000-gallon water tank. The department spokesman stated the crews didn’t waste time finding a hook-up. Although the fire had been extinguished, firefighters reportedly stayed on the property for a few more hours to ensure there was no re-ignition. According to the department, the fire had already spread into the garage walls, and noticed it occasionally flared up in hot spots.
The fire was contained before it spread to another property. No one was close to the garage at the time of the fire, with fire investigators confirming there were no injuries to anyone (including the firefighters) on the property. However, the report failed to mention who was home at the time and if the singer was in the home when the fire began. Although fire investigators didn’t give a reason for the fire, Carrie Underwood’s team confirmed the next day that it was caused by a utility task vehicle (UTV) parked next to the garage.
Carrie Underwood Addresses the Fire Incident At Her Home
With growing concerns from fans, Carrie Underwood released a statement in the afternoon of Monday, June 17, 2024, to Taste of Country. The statement confirmed all the information released by Williamson County Fire and Rescue. However, it also provided additional information about the cause of the fire being attributed to the UTV. Part of the statement reads, “There was no fire damage to the primary residence, and the family and their pets were unharmed.”
As much as the statement was a relief, fans, and followers of the singer waited anxiously for Underwood’s next post. True to her ever-jolly self, Underwood posted on Instagram with the caption, “Life is stressful sometimes.
