4. In fact, he’s been married for more than 35 years
Doumitt will next celebrate his 50th birthday. He got married when he was very young and has been married for almost 35 years. According to him, his wife is the love of his life and always has been. They really do seem to have something special. After all this time, they have only grown closer together, something that only a few fortunate people have the chance to experience.
5. He’s a father of two
He and his wife also have two children together. He routinely says that among every experience he has ever had in his life, becoming a father is the best thing that has ever happened to him, hans down.
6. His wife is a cancer survivor
Just a couple of years ago, he beloved wife was diagnosed with cancer. It all started when she began experiencing severe pain in her knee. She thought she had injured it somehow. When the pain didn’t go away and she went to the doctor, she was diagnosed with a form of bone cancer, for which she began treatment almost immediately.
7. He has dealt with chronic back issues for a number of years
Like so many others, he has injured his back over years of repetitive movements. About the same time hi wife was diagnosed with cancer, his back pain became so severe that he could scarcely even move. Eventually, it got to the point where he had to have surgery in order to alleviate his pain. Thankfully, the surgery was successful and he is now pain-free and back to doing everything he loves to do.
8. He was once rumored to be dead
People often jump to conclusions. When he absent from the show in order to have back surgery, someone started a rumor that he had died. Before anyone could dispel the rumor, it had started to spread like wildfire. As far as many were concerned, it was true and he was dead and buried, all while he was merely recovering from back surgery.
9. He used to be a carpenter by trade
Before he started looking for gold, he worked as a carpenter. He has never been afraid of had work and in fact, he has always been happy to do whatever he could to make sure that he was adequately providing for his family.
10. He could be Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s double
