After years of trying to fight his addiction, his son Tyler reported on June 2019 that Butch Baltierra had relapsed and fallen back to his addiction. He had undergone and completed a successful rehab program, but his addiction demons seem not to be done with him. Maybe due to the family issues that rocked her family, Butch Baltierra’s daughter, Amber turned to alcoholism and drug abuse. She followed the destructive way of her father. However, as Tyler was announcing the relapse of his father, he also presented some good news that his sister had made it to a year free of any drug or any drink. He posted a picture of the three of them with a caption expressing his joy that the two members of his family were heading in the right direction after years of straying.

Butch Baltierra draws his earnings solely from reality shows. According to Idol Networth, starring in the “Teen Mom” show massively boosted his financial status.
