Young and the Restless fans were so excited last week when Lily and Cane returned from Paris and decided they would work on their marriage and be a team from this point forward. However, we hear they are going to face their first real issue this week. It turns out Lily is having a difficult time bonding with Baby Sam. This is a baby that her husband had with another woman, and it doesn’t seem to matter to her that this woman is dead and this baby has no mother. She’s not able to bond with him because of how she feels when she looks at him.
She feels the pain of her husband’s cheating, his lies, and his betrayal. She feels that pain every time she looks this baby in the face, and it’s bad news for her family. She’s having a difficult time accepting this baby. She knows nothing is this baby’s fault, and she wants to bond with him. She wants to be there for the baby and love him as her own, but she can’t right now.
And this might be something that really does make her decide that even though she loves her husband, things won’t work out. How can she love a man and not his child? It’s not right, she knows it, and she can’t seem to make that feeling go away. She knows it hurts her and it hurts her baby, but she can’t get things to stop hurting for her or the baby.
