Young and the Restless spoilers for the week are quite revealing. Lauren is a mess, and the week is going to begin with seeing her near breakdown. Her son is working for a company that has him in a war zone at the moment reporting on some stories, but she hasn’t heard from him in a while. She’s worried that something terrible has happened to him overseas in the middle of a war-torn country, and she’s going to panic. She turns to Michael for support, but it doesn’t work for her. He can reassure her all he wants that her son is all right, but she just won’t hear of it.
Unfortunately, she might be right. Scott was set to submit a story at a very specific time, but he didn’t do it. Paul will become worried about it, and he’s going to tell Lauren he thinks that something awful might have happened to Scott. This puts her over the edge, and she tells everyone she’s going to go to this war-torn location and find her son herself. They tell her no, but she’s adamant she’s leaving. Michael is going to talk some sense into her, but there’s only so much he can do in this moment.
As timing is always perfect around here, this is when Scott is going to pick up the phone to call his mom. He only gets a few words out before the call ends abruptly, and Lauren is convinced that Scott is being held hostage somewhere in the Middle East. Is he missing?
Meanwhile, Jill is still recovering in the hospital when Billy checks on her. He’s got Victoria to thank for checking on her and making sure all is going well, and they decide they’ll work together to ensure she’s able to overcome her health issues. Billy will then head to take the kids to bed, and they will have some conversations that might be uncomfortable. Victoria is doing the same thing with Reed, only she wants him to make something of his life and do more than he wants to do in life.
