The Young and the Restless fans were all surprised to see Reed show up, but no one was more surprised than his mother. She’s been trying to shield him and keep him from the things that are bothering her, and she’s now feeling as if she failed that. She couldn’t just keep the news of his father’s death — murder, really — away from him, but she didn’t expect him to come home. Now she has even more to worry about than she did in the past considering he wants answers. He wants to know what happened to his father, why this is going on, and what he can do to make this right. He wants to find the person who took JT’s life, and he wants to make them pay. Considering the fact that this is not something that will work out too well for him, we think that his mother is panicking.
If he continues to look into this, he puts her at risk. He doesn’t know this, of course, and it’s not like she can tell him. It’s one more thing to add to her list of already long reasons to worry. She was shocked to see him, and this is not proving to be the kind of visit she wants from her beloved son. And then there is the fact that Jack is up to something. He is making big moves, and those moves might just pay off for him in a way that makes things work out well. He might not want to see things happen the way that they did, but he’s been good at making his life what he wants, and this is not going to be any exception to the general rule he likes to live his life by, and that’s what we love about him.

This is all of us at some point in each day whether we like it or not. So, why not just admit we do this, move on with our lives, and basically just get it together before it’s too late to do otherwise.

There are a lot of things that Cane is living with right now. He’s living a life that has been nothing short of a mess for a long time. His wife is a mess, his family is a mess, his kids are a mess. Everyone and everything he knows in his life is falling apart, and he has to find a way to overcome that by making amends — and we think he can do that. We do think that he can find it in himself to find a way to make things right, to fix what is broken in his life, and to make things work for him. But at what cost to himself and his kids is this going to be? Finally, we also get to see that Fen is going to get the kind of wake up call that no one wants to get. His parents are not all that happy he is home and that he has decided that he needs to take another path in life. Actually, they’re beyond livid.
And that is just one of those things that works well for everyone. He is not someone who will handle things easily, but he is someone who will focus on what he can focus on. He might change his mind again, but we don’t know that it will be anytime in the near future or if he will be nothing short of hardheaded and unable to focus on what he thinks of anything or anyone else. He’s not someone who wants to bother, but he will get this wake up call and have no choice.
