There’s no doubt that with the success of Rogue One a spin-off universe outside of Star Wars can exist and prosper. The next project that we’ll see on the big screen is a Han Solo film. Fans and critics are pretty excited to see what Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be doing with the film. One cast member is already touting the film as being one of the best movies, if not the best Star Wars movie ever. Woody Harrelson had this to say to Collider.
“They’re great. You know, any movie’s only as good as the director or in this case directors, and so I have a suspicion, because if you look at the whole, all the movies, the backlog of every one of these movies, there’s a lot of great stuff, but one might not be not as good with the writing in this or the acting in that or the directing in that, this has great actors, great directors, great script, and I really feel like we’re gonna make the best one.”
Alright Woody. Calm down buddy. You’ve never even been in a Star Wars film let alone have the brass to make a comment like this. Granted I love the kid’s confidence it’s going to be pretty tough to make this one of the best Stars Wars films EVER. I’m pretty sure even J.J. Abrams would have something to say about that. His Last Jedi is getting some serious hype.
While I can only hope it’s a friendly little competition between movies, we’re all on the same team here guys. Let’s just make some great movies shall we?
The Han Solo film has a great cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thandie Newton, and Michael K. Williams. It’s set to be released on May 25th, 2018.
