Why The Curse of Oak Island Season 6 Could be the Biggest

The Curse of Oak Island, which airs on the History Channel, has proven to be a show that draws in more and more fans with each passing season. So far, they’ve been through five seasons and at the end of last season, they completed a large dig which eventually gave them a fairly big cash items to sift through. They also found some additional bones which were thought to be human. This only served to add to the mystery and the potential of a curse. As such, many dedicated fans think that the upcoming season six just might be the best one in the show’s history.

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait for very long in order to start seeing things for themselves. For a long time, everybody involved with the show, including the History Channel, were being fairly tight-lipped about just when season six was going to premiere. This had a lot of people that follow the show speculating that it would happen sometime in the second or third week of November and for all intents and purposes, they were correct. As it turns out, the first episode of season six will air on November 13th. In the meantime, you can only dream about what they just might find this time around.

If the end of last season was any indication whatsoever, there’s a good chance that they’re getting closer to finding that treasure that they’ve been looking for for so long. Granted, the dig they completed at the end of season five didn’t produce exactly what they had hoped it would, but it was their most promising dig to date. That lead a lot of fans to believe that they’re getting ever closer to finding that sweet spot that so many people have reportedly search for for years and years now.

Is it possible that they might actually find the treasure? Of course, anything is possible. The truth is, even if they don’t find it the season still promises to be an important one because with each additional amount of research, it only stands to reason that it would bring them closer to their ultimate goal. In addition, the very excitement of those involved often bleeds over into the fans, as dedicated viewers sit and watch with bated breath, hoping that they will turn up something new during each and every episode.

Many people think that this could be the most important season ever, largely based on the items that were discovered during last season’s dig. Furthermore, additional research is always turning up new things. While the jury is still out about whether or not there is actually a curse, there do seem to be a lot of strange things that go on at this island and even Rick and Marty will attest to the fact that when they have been there, they have seen some things that simply cannot be explained away. They’re also been several accounts of the camera crew reporting similar encounters that they can’t really explain. Those accounts, in conjunction with the human bones that have been turned up in the area, do make even the most skeptical individuals wonder if there might possibly be some truth to the rumors of a curse.

For some viewers, that possibility alone is enough to make them tune in week after week. Of course, the promise of potentially finding that storied treasure is also enough to make people watch. There’s something special about the Curse of Oak Island that allows fans to feel like they’re almost part of the expedition themselves. They may be sitting on their couch watching something that was filmed weeks or even months earlier, yet it’s easy to get into the moment with the show. In short, it makes you feel like you’re virtually right there with them and you’re constantly rooting for something new and interesting to be found with each passing moment. It’s almost as if fans get the opportunity to live vicariously through these people that they’re seeing on the television screen each week.

For now, fans will have to wait in order to see just exactly what comes out of season six but it does look like it promises to be something that’s quite interesting, even if for no other reason than the anticipation of what might possibly be there.
