What We Know about Classroom of the Elite Season 2

Classroom of the Elite is another anime series based on a Japanese graphic novel. Just like many of its contemporaries, the show includes a lot of action as well as some interesting storylines. In particular, the very plot of the story is something that’s worth paying attention to. It’s fictional, but it does provide some food for thought about the types of things that might happen if a situation like this ever became a reality. Depending on where a person lives, there are undoubtedly some people throughout the world feel like it has already become exactly that.

The plot centers around a special school that is created to teach young Japanese individuals how to support the country in the future. From a young age, they have to live at the school and learn how to do everything the way the Japanese government wants them to do it. At first, it appears as though they are given a lot of freedom so they can learn how to make the choices that the country of Japan wants them to make but when things are examined more closely, it’s found that they really aren’t given any freedom at all. Everything they do and in fact, their very existence, is engineered. As luck would have it, the main character is placed into a special class for individuals that are considered inferior to others. He doesn’t like to interact a lot and he frequently displeases the people at the school. As such, he’s often considered to be less important than many of the other students that are more prone to doing what they are told. At first, he feels like his entire life is a waste but then he meets two other students that are in similar circumstances at the school and together, the three of them start to see that they have just as much value as anyone else.

Clearly, this is a story that resonates with a lot of people. Anyone that’s ever felt like they were under someone else’s thumb, regardless of the situation, can identify with what it feels like to be controlled or to be told that they don’t measure up. If most people are being honest with themselves, there is some point in almost every person’s life where they can identify with this character’s story. That’s one reason why the show, which currently consists of a single season that premiered in 2017, resonated with so many fans.

As such, many people have been wondering whether or not a second season will occur and if so, what are the details of it? Right now, there isn’t a release date that’s been pinpointed for the second season but it is known that the studio, Lerche, is currently working on it. They’re not saying much about any details right now, but it is reported that they will be answering a lot of questions that were sort of left up in the air when season one ended. More specifically, they have said that they will directly answer some of the questions from the season one finale, which is good for fans because there were a lot of questions posed during that particular episode.

Even though there is no official word on a release date or even an exact plot just yet, it’s important to remember that these types of anime shows follow the graphic novels so if you’re looking for more information about the plot, you can probably find it right there. In addition, you might be able to glean a little more information about a potential release date by merely looking at the history of the show and the way that many of these anime shows follow release the dates of the novels themselves.

In other words, there’s a better-than-average chance that the show will be released sometime in the late spring of 2019 or in early fall of that same year. Granted, that seems like a long time for fans to wait, especially when you consider the fact that the first season only consisted of 12 episodes and hasn’t been on for a while. That being said, that first season began airing in September 2017 so it is entirely possible that they might wait until September of 2019 to air the second season as well.
