What Has Happened to the Cast of Scorpion Since It was Cancelled?

Scorpion is for the most part a band of very intelligent people that are put together in order to solve some of the problems that the government doesn’t have the manpower or the resources to deal with. Their gathered intelligence would likely stump a MENSA group and yet their shared psychoses would keep a professional psychiatrist busy 24/7 as the angle that geniuses aren’t always able to cope with the real world is pushed quite continually. Of course it’s not all a matter of finding social graces in this show as the group does manage to tackle various problems and issues that need to be dealt with and aren’t able to be taken care of by regular government agencies. It’s almost like the A-Team but with far more brains than brawn. Unfortunately the show was cancelled in April of 2018.

Let’s see what the cast members are up to now.

Ari Stidham

Scorpion seems like the end of the line right now for Ari unless he’s got something else that’s not on the books yet. As big guys go in a series he was one of the more endearing and yet his level of comfort is something that many characters have possessed and doesn’t make him extremely unique. Given his performance however it seems far to say that he should be able to find something if he hasn’t already and continue his career if he really wants to.

Robert Patrick

Not a lot of folks are bound to worry too much about Robert and the reason is that he’s simply too popular to stay down for very long. Already he’s shown up in the new Kurt Sutter series, Mayans. He’s also got another project going that doesn’t have a release date yet and there’s another show that’s featured him as of last year so honestly there’s no need to worry over his future, he’s likely to have one for as long as he wants it. This is one of the guys that helped to revolutionize the Terminator franchise after all, he’s bound to find or be offered something.

Eddie Kaye Thomas

To a lot of us that grew up watching this guy he’s probably always going to be Paul Finch, the guy that conquered Stifler’s mom, but throughout his career he’s done many different things and he’s already on to something new that started this year as well. One thing it’s never really wise to do is count anyone out when their show gets taken off the air, especially if it’s someone that’s been well established for a number of years.

Jadyn Wong

Right now it looks as though Jadyn has something going on that’s in post-production at the moment so like the others she does have something else to hold on to. Her character in the show was just as quirky as the others but mostly because she was dropped off by her father to foster care after her mother died. How heartless does a person have to be to just give their kid up, or how hopeless? You can imagine that not having stable parent figures in your life would make you a little socially odd.

Elyes Gabel

Keeping in mind that the show just went off the air earlier this year it’s easy to think that most of the cast will only have had one or two projects going since. In some cases it’s all about how much pull they have in the industry and how quickly they can get a role, but in other cases it might be about exploring different options as well. Elyes does in fact have something else going however.

Katharine McPhee

Katharine was in a TV movie recently and has two other projects that are coming out within the next year or so. It’s safe to say that some of the cast members either hustled or were sought out not too long after the show went off the air and, seeing that they needed another paycheck, no doubt accepted when they saw that the scripts were something they could do.

The show seemed like it was something that could have stuck around for long if it had been a little more adaptable, but given that such shows do tend to start feeling and sounding like broken records after a while it’s not too hard to think that the producers were seeing the ratings decline and possibly thought it was time to cut and move on. Thankfully most of the cast was well off enough to simply move on and pick up their career as they landed on another show, in a movie, or anything that could keep them busy. This is how the industry is sometimes it seems, you have to be ready for things to change at a moments notice. It’s rare to see a show last more than a handful of seasons these days.
