The Young and the Restless fans are currently watching as Victoria Newman — the beloved daughter of icon Victor Newman — goes through a terrible time with her most recent ex. She was recently back together with her ex-husband, J.T. Hellstrom, and things got very bad and he went missing. And now she’s going through some serious issues with her life all because of a man. While we think that she’s better off on her own at the moment, we think that she’s had some pretty bad relationships over the years. The current Victoria — Amelia Heinle — has been around since 2005. And we think it’s her Victoria who has had the worst husbands. Here are her worst three husbands to date.
Brad Carlton
She was married to him — played by Don Diamont — for a very short time in 2006 and 2007. You see, he had a lot of feelings for Sharon Newman, who was also previously his wife’s sister-in-law. He wanted to be with her for a long time. It also didn’t help that he was previously married to Ashley Abbott, either. Victoria and Ashley hate one another a lot, and that’s always something they’ve had in common. So when they decided that they would get married, they had issues. He was still hot for Sharon, she was looking to make her father mad, and they were both looking to see what they could get out of this marriage. He cheated on her. With Sharon, of course. This was not good for Vickie, and it might be why they’re not all that close now. They ultimately divorced when she lost their baby.
Billy Abbott
She as married to him for almost four years. Their relationship wasn’t as ugly as many. She pursued him, her father hated it, he basically stole an illegally adopted baby for her since she could not become pregnant, and they ended things a relatively bad note at some point. They were never really happy with one another, but then he was in an accident, and then he was thrown in jail, and then he was with another woman, and then it all just fell apart. She and Billy are, perhaps, the best couple she’s had in a long time. They worked with far less drama than any of the other women and men they’ve been with.
J.T. Hellstrom
He and Victoria had a very rocky start to things. She was still married to Brad, of course, when they met. He was kind of dating Brad’s daughter at the time, but he was also with Mac. And that was a big moment when they split up. But it was crazy when Vickie ended up pregnant and almost lost her baby when she was hit in the head during an explosion. She wasn’t sure — at that time — who the father of her baby was. It was either her recent ex-husband or J.T. and they later found out the baby belonging to J.T. That baby is, of course, Reed. And they were married and living happily never after. He was only married to her for two years before things turned around. He headed back to his first love, Mac, and that was that.
Until recently when he showed back up. Mac came, too, and she told Vickie J.T. had changed. He was divorcing his wife, and he wanted her back. So they got together. That’s when he became abusive to her in a verbal manner, and it all took a very ugly turn one night when he grabber her by the neck and tossed her up against a wall. He hurt her badly, and that was one of the single most awful things that we’ve seen on daytime television. That physical abuse was horrible.
The single worst relationship clearly goes to J.T. The fact that he abused her is something that touched so many people because it happens all the time. Unlike all the other storylines that are so far-fetched we know they’re not true, this one hit very close to home for a lot of people. It sparked outrage and anger, and it wasn’t good for anyone. It was without a doubt, her worst marriage. Even though we know that they weren’t married when this all went down.
