Following a recent incident at his home for which the police were called, Austin Powers star Verne Troyer has been placed on involuntary psychiatric hold. According to multiple reports, this occurred on Monday, April 2, 2018.
The incident involved the police turning up at the home of the 49-year-old actor after they received a call from Troyer’s concerned friends. The actor was allegedly drunk, very upset and claiming to have suicidal thoughts. As a result of his behavior, the police made the decision to have him transported to the hospital. It is also reported that he received treatment for alcohol poisoning.
On his arrival at the hospital, Verne Troyer was placed on involuntary psychiatric hold, which is also referred to as a 5150 hold. This is only used if a patient is considered a threat to themselves or to others.
Following the incident, Troyer’s team accessed his personal social media accounts to ask the star’s fans to pray for him during this difficult time. They also took the opportunity to let his followers know that he was receiving the best care possible and that he had the full support of his friends and family. At the end of the Instagram post, they promised to keep followers updated with any news on the situation.
This is not the first time that Verne Troyer has required hospital treatment for his personal issues. In April 2017, he stayed in a rehabilitation facility so that he could receive treatment for his alcohol addiction. This was something that he bravely faced head-on as he took to Instagram to keep his fans updated on his personal situation. He admitted on the post that he had previously battled alcohol addiction and that this was something with which he had struggled.

This is something he denies and claims that Gallen fabricated this story for her own financial gain. He then had a relationship with Ranae Shrider. He is currently in a relationship with German-American actress Brittney Powell. The couple is living together with her son Tyson O’Bannon. In 2015, they took part in an episode of ‘Celebrity Wife Swap’ which involved Powell swapping places with Hines Ward’s wife.
