There are three upcoming shows that in my eyes are leading the pack in their marketing efforts. I’m not 100% sure what the order is but I think that Twin Peaks, Game of Thrones, and Better Call Saul are killing it. Why? Not one of these shows has given up more than even a slight glimpse of what to expect and yet every single speck they put out there is interesting. Today my eyes were on Twin Peaks. According to Indie Wire:
With just under two months to go until the May 21 return of “Twin Peaks,” mysterious billboards have been going up around the country with nothing but cherry pie on them. Some billboards have a single slice of pie, while others show a full pie, but missing one slice. The billboards have been spotted in Seattle, Washington, where the pilot, movie and new series were filmed, with additional billboard sightings in Missoula, Montana – birthplace of David Lynch – and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Lynch attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
You might remember that last month there were a few Twin Peaks teasers, my personal favorite being the “Missing Laura Palmer” posters that were being placed in Australia. As the show does so nicely, they give us ZERO hints as to what these billboards mean clearly indicating that you’ll have to wait for the show to start to see.
Though David Lynch has gone on record saying that nothing about the show will be revealed until the first episode airs, a new short film recently surfaced called “A New Sunrise Over Sunset.” Check out the short film and another pie billboard below:
