It’s been 25 years since the show we cancelled (and not taken well I might add) by ABC and now, out of thin air, it’s back! David Lynch and Mark Frost’s absurd, comical, horrific, and totally mesmerizing series Twin Peaks is set to return as a limited event series on Showtime. Up until this point the marketing for the show has been incredibly discrete and obscure. Even the trailer that was released last week only had shots of the town. Before that it was random images and missing persons signs all over Australia (I’m dead serious by the way).
But now, finally we get a chance to see some familiar faces 25 years later. And as a special treat to audiences, a single word is uttered. That’s right! One whole word. In order, that’s a new look at forlorn mechanic Big Ed Hurley (Everett McGill), trailer park owner Carl Rodd (Harry Dean Stanton), the understandably frazzled Sarah Palmer (Grace Zabriskie), the curious Deputy Andy Brennan (Harry Goaz), the A+ Deputy Tommy “Hawk” Hill (Michael Horse), and the best special agent the FBI has ever seen, Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan).
