‘Nurse Jackie’ was a medical comedy-drama series that aired on Showtime between 2009 and 2015. This series was co-created by Liz Brixius, Evan Dunsky, and Linda Wallem. The stories revolve around the working life and relationships of an emergency department nurse called Jackie Peyton, played by Edie Falco. Edie Falco
Edie Falco played the lead role of Jacki Peyton, a nurse. The year after the series ended, Falco landed a lead role in ‘Horace and Pete’, in which she appeared for eight episodes in 2016. She then played Leslie Abramson in ‘Law & Order True Crime’ for eight episodes in 2017. She has also enjoyed a career in the film industry. In 2017, she appeared in the films ‘Landline’, ‘Megan Leavey’, ‘Outside In’, and ‘I Love You, Daddy’. 2018 is also a busy year for Falco. She has appeared in the documentary ‘Every Act of Life’ as herself and has played the role of Helene in ‘The Land of Steady Habits’ and Charlotte in ‘Vulture Club’.
Best played Dr. Elanor O’Hara from the beginning of the series until season five and then returned as a guest star in season seven. She has continued to have a successful career in television. She played Vanessa Bell in ‘Life in Squares’ before landing the role of Anna Clayton in the ongoing television series ‘Stan Lee’s Lucky Man’.
Merritt Wever
Merritt Wever played the role of Zoey Barkow, one of the lead characters in the series. Wever won the 2013 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of this role. Following ‘Nurse Jackie’, she appeared in nine episodes of ‘The Walking Dead’ in the role of Dr. Denise Cloyd. In 2017, she played Mary Agnes McNue in seven episodes of the miniseries ‘Godless’. She has also had several film roles between 2016 and the present day. These include ‘The Last Face’, ‘The Women of Marwen’, and an untitled Noah Baumbach project which is in post-production, She will also play the role of Karlene Faith in the 2019 movie ‘Charlie Says’.
Paul Schulze
Paul Schulze played Eddie Walzer throughout all seven seasons of this series. Since then, his career has slowed down. He had a lead role in Suits between 2016 and 2017, and he also played William Rawlins in the 2017 web series ‘The Punisher‘.
Peter Facinelli
Peter Facinelli was another of the main cast members of ‘Nurse Jackie’ as he played Fitch ‘Coop’ Cooper in all seven seasons. In terms of his television career, Facinelli played Peter Decker in ‘American Odyssey’ in 2015 and the Maxwell Lord in ‘Supergirl’ between 2015 and 2016. He is currently playing Michael Plank in ‘S.W.A.T’. He has also appeared in films. These include the 2015 film ‘Walter’, the 2017 film ‘The Wilde Wedding’, in which he played Ethan Darling, and the role of Number One in ‘Running with the Devil’.
