Castle Preview and Promo Pics

When we left Richard Castle last season he’d become an almost regular fixture at the New York Police Station where Detective Kate Beckett works. Although still a little tumultuous at times, Castle and Beckett have began to forge ahead in their relationship as partners, of sorts, with Castle using her as inspiration for his next novel character and Beckett getting some help solving her cases, whether she wants it or not. But in the season finale Castle pressed to far and learned something about the unsolved homicide involving Beckett’s mother that could potentially blow the case wide open. While we don’t know what it is Castle learned, Beckett had told him explicitly to stay out of her mother’s case. How his new knowledge will affect their relationship together during season 2 is anyone’s guess.
I’m more excited about Castle returning than I am for just about any other show. Its one of the only procedurals that I watch, regularly, and I love Nathan Fillion in just about everything he does. This show might have made it to a second season with lackluster ratings, but I think season two will be when it makes its mark. So be sure to tune in this season.
ABC describes the first episode like this:
“Deep in Death” — When the new season begins, Castle (Nathan Fillion) is wrestling with how to repair his relationship with Beckett (Stana Katic), while struggling to finish his soon-to-be-published bestseller, Heat Wave. But circumstances force the pair back together to investigate the mysterious murder of a man found dead, tangled in the limbs of a tree. The Season Two premiere of “Castle” airs MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (10:01-11:00 p.m. ET) on ABC. Authors Stephen J. Cannell and Michael Connelly guest star as themselves in the episode.
Below is a gallery of promo pics from the first episode as well. Castle premiere’s on ABC on Monday, September 21.
