The series is still continuing and the focus centers around the political life of Meyer with the ups and downs she experiences as a woman in the executive position, who can’t seem to hold on to it. Frank Underwood
Frank Underwood is a reject for Secretary of State who still participates as Democrat form the 5th congressional district and House majority from South Carolina. He is a memorable fictional politician from the political drama series “House of Cards.” He’s hungry for power and angry for being passed over for the coveted Secretary of State position. Underwood is played by Kevin Spacey who won the Best Actor Award from the Golden Globe in 2015.
Dr. Elizabeth Adams McCord
This “Madame Secretary” character is the United States Secretary of State, played by Tea Leoni. The character is memorable because of her intense intellect and strength. Her experience prior to appointment to the white house includes a twenty year stint as an analyst for the CIA as well as a University of Virginia Professor of Political Science. Her former boss, the President of the United States appointed her after the former Sec of State was killed in a plane crash.
Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III, President of the United States
This character is a memorable Republican President who served as the Governor of California prior to becoming the President. He also goes by the nickname “Fitz.” Many fans felt sorry for him because of the bad situation that he had with his wife. He eventually divorces her in the series. Fitz is a character that viewers tend to feel empathy for, even though he’s the most powerful man in the country if not the world. Tony Goldwyn is the actor who plays Fitz on the television series “Scandal.”
David Rosen, Assistant US Attorney
David is a hard worker that supports Olivia Pope and Associates in maintaining their reputation. He gives them trouble frequently, but he’s the first to step forward when Olivia needs things to be cleaned up. The character is played by actor Joshua Malina.
