The Top Five Christina Applegate Movie Roles of Her Career

Christina Applegate has come a long way from her Married with Children days. She hasn’t played a blonde ditz since then I believe, but she’s also been in a lot more movies than I realized so it’s possible. The clips below however show a decided amount of depth for the former child star and that she can hang with the big names. Throughout her career she’s become an award-winning actress and she’s had to overcome the adversity of breast cancer when she was diagnosed in 2008. Despite the cancer only being in one breast she underwent a double mastectomy just to be certain that it was gone. Thanks to the quick thinking of both her and her doctors she has been cancer-free ever since. Applegate has also become a philanthropist during her career and has done a large amount of charity work. The young girl that was little more than a blonde bombshell back in the day has become a very confident and highly skilled actress.

She’s got some serious skills now, and she’s been showing what she can do alongside some of the greatest actors.

5. Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead-Swell

She was thinking parties, the beach, and anything and everything she wanted to do while her mother was gone. There wasn’t really any thought of her siblings or what they would do, but that was okay in her world, she was after all a teenage girl that did what she wanted. That was up until the fact that she and her siblings realized that their mother had hired a babysitter.

4. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy-Veronica Corningstone

Veronica had the distinction of becoming the first woman news anchor at the same station as the famed Ron Burgundy, and all was not well after the announcement was made. Burgundy obviously flips out, his team flips out, and throughout it all Veronica has to do the absolute best she can to do her job and somehow make up for the walking train wreck that used to be Ron Burgundy.

3. Vacation-Debbie Griswold

It’s almost like Rusty Griswold either forgot what the trip to WallyWorld was like, or is now punishing his family just to make sure that someone feels his pain from so long ago. Debbie is the glue that tries to keep the family together much in the same way that Ellen was, but with two boys, one that’s a borderline psycho, and a husband bent on reliving the glory days of his youth it’s all she can do to keep everything together.

2. Hall Pass-Grace

Grace is kind of a hypocrite really but won’t admit it. She puts up with a lot when it comes to her husband and yet treats him kind of rough when it comes to his needs. Either way you see it they’re a loving couple that don’t always click, but when she gives her hubby a hall pass she wastes no time in taking out one of her own and doing the deed with a younger guy. Of course her hubby gets busy too. What a marriage.

1. Bad Moms-Gwendolyn

She is like the epitome of evil moms. She’s one of the meanest, nastiest, and low-down women in the film, and yet on the outside she looks so professional, chipper, and ready to please. Of course by the end of the film we find out that her perfect life is anything but.

Christina Applegate is one of the best actresses out there, and is WAY underrated.
