It’s hard to believe this moment happened back in 2007 but as a male it’s still tough to watch. Seth Rogen was on the rise in his film career and Megan Fox was pretty much at her peak. Jimmy Kimmel was still chubby and we certainly had no clue he would ever host the Oscars. As Megan Fox comes out to greet Kimmel, Rogen tries to sneak in a kiss on the cheek and completely gets snubbed. To this day it’s one of the most painful kiss rejections to watch. When interviewed about it in 2009 this is what Rogen said.
“I’m thinking, ‘When in my life am I ever gonna get to kiss this woman? Now’s my chance,’ ” Rogen said.”And so I tried to do it, and to my memory, she physically stopped me from doing it and basically rejected me on television,” he added.
I doubt that Rogen would ever get his revenge but I can assure you if this incident happened today, the results would not be the same. The worst part about this video is Rogen’s little head nod. He’s like “yup, this is what I get for trying.” He couldn’t be any more “Seth Rogen” in that moment. No wonder people like him in movies. He’s exactly the same in real life.
I wonder if Fox ever regretted this.
