‘Munstre’ combines his digital paintings with his love of woodworking in this surreal manipulation of an antique oil painting of the sea.
The color palette was sampled from the already yellowed painting, and was then used to paint the seamonster into the scene. An 11″ x 14″ enclosure was made as the frame for the final film-printed image, and is backlit by an LED light, with an on/off switch on the power cord.
