You know things are getting down to wire when contestants start invoking God. During The Voice season 11 top 10 performances we saw just that. Nearly half the songs were on spiritual themes, while all of the others dealt with longings. With two people set to go home, The Voice season 11 top 10 performers went to reel in people’s hearts. With everyone at this point being so great musically, I suspect it’s going to come down to whose song moved voters the least.
Here’s how the performances went down!
The Opening Act
Team Adam: Billy Gilman – “Anyway” by Martina McBride

Finally! This is the best Billy has been since his blind audition! He may not want to do country music, but he needs to do music with heart that he can connect to. This was not phoned in. He’s not going anywhere. Coach Miley Cyrus was enraptured by his performance – and the staging.
It just heightened what you already are – which is, maybe the winner of The Voice – because that performance was really good.
She’s probably right. He’s certainly top three. It’s all going to come down to those cumulative iTunes votes for the finals. Once again, he hit that top 10 on iTunes, which gives the artist that 5x multiplier on their votes. Overall, Billy’s had a bit of a head start on those iTunes numbers. This week he was number four on the hot 200, and number 1 on the pop chart. However, there are a few artists who are well on his heels! I’ll list them below.
The Voice Season 11 Top 10 Bonus Winners
All of these artists were top ten on the iTunes charts at 12:00 pm Tuesday, 11/29/16.
Team Blake: Sundance Head, “Me and Jesus” by Tom T. Hall.
This was the second week Sundance was number one on both the hot 200 and top 100 country hits!

Team Adam: Brendan Fletcher, “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper
Brendan came it at number 2 on the top 200 – one ahead of Billy. He’s been on the charts consistently – just not this high. Remember, at the end all those iTunes buys count. This dark horse could end up surprising everyone!

Team Alicia: Christian Cuevas, “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga
It’s Christian’s first time getting the bonus. He hit number 7 on the hot 200 and number 3 on the pop chart.

Team Alicia: Wé McDonald, “God Bless The Child”
Wé’s been up on the charts a number of times, but this is her first time breaking the top 10 and hitting that bonus. She came in as number 10, plus she was second on the r&b /soul chart. Wé commented about needing to borrow some of Alicia’s “swag” when performing. I think she’s wearing it well – and adding her own spin on it, too!

Team Miley: Ali Caldwell, “Without You” Mariah Carey
Finally! Ali was at 15 on the top 200, but she was number six on the pop chart! Ali is like Whitney, Celine, and Mariah rolled into one. This is pop divadom at its finest!

If she doesn’t make it through to the semi-finals there’s no justice! Ali had the closing number of the night, and it’s a good thing because that number was a showstopper!
Special Mentions
Josh Gallagher and Austin Allsup both were in mid-forties on the top 200 charts. With Josh slightly ahead of Austin. Of course, iTunes isn’t everything. We’ll have to see how it goes!

The Bottom Two
I really loved Aaron Gibson when he did his blind audition. Now I feel like he’s gotten monotonous. It’s the first time I actually didn’t like what he did at all. Granted, it’s a tough thing to cover a song and try to make it your own. With truly iconic songs it’s even harder. Sometimes in trying to make it different you can lose the essence of what made it great in the first place.

Courtney has a great voice, but this was not the best song to showcase it. While I love 80’s music, given the stakes, something more complex in its melody would have served her better.

So, who goes home? Well, we’ve got the instant save again – so it’s the bottom three viewers will be choosing from. That third is likely Josh or Austin….
