1. Love, Simon (2018)
This is a movie about a high school student who is beginning to discover his sexuality. As it turns out, he’s gay and he’s trying to figure out how to let the people that are closest to him know it without alienating those same individuals. It’s a good film to watch because it portrays things from the perspective of the individual who’s struggling with such questions. As far as the Justin Bieber song is concerned, it’s called As Long As You Love Me, and it’s a song that Simon and Bram sing during a karaoke contest.
2. So You Think You Can Dance, Season 12 Episode 3 (2015)
The same song was used for the audition of contestant Mary Kate Levoir. Not only did she impress the judges with her dancing skills, they seemed to be equally impressed with her song choice. While some people might think that a Justin Bieber song would be difficult to perform to, that really isn’t the case at all. She proved that fact when she turned in a killer performance, one that was done to a song many people might have overlooked.
3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012)
In this movie, Bieber’s song Baby was used. If you see him the movie, you can probably picture that song being played every time you see a trailer for ite. Perhaps it’s the other way around and you start to hear the song in your head every time somebody brings up the film. Either way, the two will forever be linked because you can’t hardly think about one without the other coming to mind as well.
4. American Idol, Season 15 Episode 10 (2016)
This is the episode where Lee Jean successfully made it through to the next round, and eventually went on to be one of the top 24 performers on the show. The song in question was entitled Children, and Jean’s rendition was especially poignant. If you haven’t noticed, there seems to be a connection between competitions where people have to sing or dance and Justin Bieber songs. In a way, this connection serves as a testament to the popularity of Bieber’s music, especially among younger individuals who routinely appear on these types of shows.
5. The Karate Kid (2010)
One of Justin Bieber’s most popular songs, Never Say Never, was the first song played during the film credits of this 2010 remake. If you’re not already aware, Bieber and Jaden Smith teamed up on the song. It’s no coincidence that the song shows up at the end of the movie, as Jaden Smith also starred in this movie.
