General Hospital fans are aware that most of the stories that come to this show have to have a twist somewhere. Nothing is ever what it seems, and that’s what we love so much about it. This is a show in which people are never happy in their own lives. They are always miserable, and they are always looking for a way to make sure they get what they are looking for. But sometimes, things work out in a way that you just don’t see coming no matter what you do, how hard you work, or what happens. We are always surprised just how many people are shocked by the way things go around here, and that’s just a small dose. Here are some of our very favorite plot twists from over the years. Emily’s Health Turn
Do you remember when Emily was struggling with cancer, and she was not sure she would live? She was in the middle of feeling that she was in love with Zander, and she was horrified to be with him when things in her own life were so rough? She was so upset with the way things were going, and she was so upset with the way she was making this man feel. She was afraid he would fall more in love with her, and she was terrified that things would not work out for her in that manner. She was upset, he was upset, and she had to do something that would make it all right in her world. But that didn’t work out as planned when she pretended she was in love with Nikolas, and she actually turned out to be. She would dream he was kissing her, and then her dream woke her up and she instantly became better. Her disease was almost gone, and her cancer wasn’t beating her anymore.
Who are Charlotte’s Parents?
Honestly, we have no idea and we don’t know if we will ever have an idea. There is so much going on here that doesn’t make sense to us. She came into the world with so many things going on in her life, and it seemed she had no parents to help take care of her. She was a young woman who was rumored to have parents who were not the ones she came into town with, but no one could figure it out. Was it really Claudette and Valentin? Or was it Nathan and Claudette? This was a huge problem for Maxie. And then it was rumored she might just be Claudette and Griffin’s baby? But then, in a strange twist, it turns out this little girl belongs to Lulu and to Valentin. Except, we don’t know that for certain. She could belong to anyone at this point in her life, and we continue to believe that there is always a chance this baby girl could have parents who are not either of these two. We will see in the future.
Luke and Laura
It’s very, very easy to forget that things don’t work out in the way we always think that they do — and this is the most shocking start to any relationship imaginable. You see, they might be the dream couple in all the daytime world, but they didn’t have a great start. In fact, Luke actually is a rapist who raped Laura one night when they were working together. It’s easy to forget that their amazing love story is one that involves a woman who was a victim falling in love with her rapist and wanting to have a life with him, and it’s so good that they actually make the world forget he raped her. It’s awful, and we don’t support it at all, yet it worked out for them in the show. It was only two years after he assaulted her that she married him, and they had one of the most epic and iconic love stories of all time. And we still don’t get it, yet we cannot forget it as easy as it has been to do just that. It is so weird to us.
