The Best Uses of Luke Bryan Songs in TV

A lot of times with country stars you really need to be something of a country music buff to say anything about them. But if you do enough research on Luke Bryan you can find out pretty easily that he’s earned his way to where he’s at and has won a good number of awards to go with the accolades of the many that happen to think he’s one of the hottest acts in country music at this time. He might have gotten to where he is sooner but tragedy struck his family when his brother was killed in a car accident. He couldn’t think of leaving his family at such a time which shows he’s got a lot of heart and a great deal of loyalty to those that matter in his life. That and a strong can-do attitude have allowed him to come from being a songwriter to a top-level act in the country music industry, something he was aiming for throughout the years.

Here are a few of his songs that have served a purpose in TV.

5. Go Fest 2013 – Rain is a Good Thing

Even if you’re not really into country music there are those songs that happen to reach a person in a way that transcends genre and just allows you to enjoy them for what they are and not for the group they belong to. A lot of artists have managed to do this throughout the years but those that do are something special since they still cling to their genres but somehow come up with something that can talk to everyone at the same time. This type of unity in music is why it’s so great as an industry since music is one of the many equalizers of society in that it pulls people together a lot of times no matter the message.

4. Luke Bryan – That’s My Kind of Night

Country music doesn’t seem like it’s for everyone and that’s just fine since a lot of music genres aren’t for everyone. That’s the point, they’re geared towards those that want to listen to that type of music and aren’t bound to really cross the line all that much unless they happen to like various types of music. It’s odd to think about but there are people that love country and hard rock or metal and don’t differentiate between the two all that often. Loving music just for what it is and not always what it represents is kind of the point, music is something you feel or you don’t, there’s no need to complicate it any further.

3. WWE2K15 – This Is How We Roll

You might want to denounce the fact that country music plays any part in the WWE but if you think that then you haven’t been paying attention to the show for that long. Granted, it’s a male soap opera with a lot of action, but it’s also something that’s incredibly diverse and has been for longer than people have seemed to realize. The music that’s been used in this show has been extremely varied over the years and in truth all a song has to have is some kind of edge or attitude that will allow it to fit in with the WWE and become something that’s worthy of being included into the show’s history.

2. The Bachelorette – Drunk on You

A lot of folks love this show and a lot of folks either ignore it or just dislike it intensely. The whole point of the show seems kind of ridiculous since falling in love tends to take longer and many more twisting roads than this show can account for, but at the same time it’s for entertainment and not much else. That seems to be what a lot of people don’t want to realize as it takes standing back and looking at the show from a different perspective to see that it’s not entirely real and is meant for those that love to see drama on the small screen. If it were real then it’d be one of the most complicated shows on TV.

1. The Ranch-Rain is a Good Thing

Despite being one of the better shows on Netflix, and it is, The Ranch came under a lot of trouble when one of its stars was accused of sexual misconduct. Taking away one key character in this show kind of ruins the whole thing since the dynamic within the family unit is such that they kind of need them all to make it work. But up until that point this show was something that seemed like a comedic soap opera with less over the top drama and more honest to goodness hilarity that was interspersed with the very real family dynamic that takes place on a cattle ranch. Plus Sam Elliott is just awesome in this show.

Luke Bryan made his way up the ladder and there’s no doubt about his status at this point.
