10 Things You Didn’t Know About “The ACE Family”

People do anything to make a living, and sometimes, they stumble upon fame and riches in the process. “The ACE Family” has been on YouTube since 2016 and the number of subscribers is growing each day. From making millions to receiving backlash, here is all you need to know about the young family.

1. They are popular on social media

There is always strength in numbers, but with the ACE Family, it seems that divided is when they conquer Instagram. While “The ACE Family” account has 34.4k followers, individually, they boast of millions of followers. Catherine has 7.3 million, followed by Austin’s 6.6 million. Elle has 5 million, while Alaia has 2.3 million. On YouTube, “The ACE Family” has over 17 million subscribers keen to follow the lives of the seemingly happy family.

2. They make millions from their YouTube channel

Some people try too hard to be relevant on social media, but the ACE family does not need to work extra hard to make their money. According to Catherine, they do not stress over what to film because it comes naturally to them. That video blogging has rewarded them handsomely because according to Naibuzz, their channel gets over 5 million views in a day. With the adverts that run in their videos, they can make at least $17,500 in a day, which translates to over $6 million in a year. As of now, their videos have more than 4 billion views.

3. They have signed with Univision Creator Network

The Ace Family was signed with Studio 71 but decided to look for a new partnership with Univision Creator Network. According to the Vice President of the network, Jennifer Perri, they are ready to take advantage of the family’s appeal to the Hispanic community; hence, they reached a revenue-sharing agreement. According to Variety, the couple will also take on more content such as Catherine becoming more involved with mom and beauty-focused programming. While the family has faced some public outrage by posting some videos, Jennifer Perri said to err is human.

4. Bad publicity does not disturb them

Most celebrities will quickly call the press to address a situation that gives them bad publicity, but the ACE family does not seem to care what the public thinks. When Austin thought it better to post a video of him buying a young girl candy, it was received with such outrage. The problem was that the candy was penis-shaped, and Austin explained that he bought it because the girl had threatened to steal it from the store instead. Despite the backlash, neither Austin nor Catherine were bothered enough to address the video.

5. Their house is worth $10 million

On May 4, 2018, the ACE family purchased a mansion for $10 million. Two separate houses were also inclusive of the sale, and the couple planned to merge both houses to create one huge home. Before expanding, the house they bought measured 12,000 square feet, and by the time the two were joined, it was estimated that it would sit on 20,000 square feet. While most people were wondering why they needed such a large house while they only have two children, Catherine explained that they always have more people in the house. Additionally, they plan on having a large family, so it is better to prepare early.

6. They are always engaged in scandals

Since it is a family that thrives on how many views they get on their YouTube channel, the Ace family always has drama knocking on their door. Austin for one has been involved in endless cheating scandals, but Catherine downplays the incidents, even asking the women to post evidence. They also were accused of staging a burglary in their home just to put the attention away from the lollipop incident and give people a new topic; perhaps even gain their sympathy.

7. They sell their own merchandise

Now that we know the ACE family plans on becoming bigger, it makes sense that they decided to supplement their YouTube channel income by selling merchandise. From hoodies to t-shirts to jerseys, every fan of the family can get their branded clothes from the app. Unfortunately, most fans were offended when the membership was revealed to be $2.99 per month because it prevented them from accessing the content. What angered them more was when Catherine said on Twitter that only a real fan of The ACE family was ready to subscribe after downloading the free app.

8. They are close friends with Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner belongs to a family that turns heads whenever their name is mentioned. She is an Instagram queen having held the record for the most liked picture until an egg broke it. What most people did not know is that among her friends are the ACE family, and she helped reveal the gender of the couple’s second baby. The video that was posted on Instagram garnered 1.8 million likes as Austin posted how happy he was to be having three beautiful girls in his life.

9. They are charitable

The ACE family gives back to the community every year through a charity basketball event. The ACE family sponsors a basketball that includes celebrities with each participant donating $50,000. This year’s even had people like Chris Brown, Nick Young, Jordan Clarkson, among many more teaming up to play basketball. The team that wins chooses the charity to which the money will go, and this year’s lucky charity was a camp for kids called Painted Turtle Charity.

10. Their channel was not famous at first

When Catherine was expecting Elle and Austin was busy playing basketball for St. Louis University, they began vlogging. At the time they only attracted 1,000 subscribers, but with time, the family whose channel was “Catherine and Austin Vlogs” gained loads of fans to become what it is today. They had to change the name to include their daughter by taking the first letter of each of them to form “ACE.” Whether they will change the name of the channel to include the other daughter is still unknown.
