Game of Thrones is a tightly run show and produces quality episodes every week. But it can’t get everything perfect 100% of the time. Over three seasons there have been a few little errors on the show that went unnoticed by some, but not by all. Rather, there are careful watchers who are quick to point out mistakes on the show that the average person might not notice. They can be continuity based, fact based or have to do with modern life impacting the show. I found these ten via ShareTV and Moviemistakes. I thought there’d be more given how long the show has run, but they’re pretty good about minimizing these kinds of goofs.
1.In the first episode, the Stark boys have their hair cut and are clean shaven. By the start of this episode Jon Snow and Robb Stark have completely regrown their hair and stubble.
2. Pure gold requires 1064.18 °C (1947.52 °F) to melt – a temperature not achievable in a simple campfire – many gold alloys melt a lot lower of temperatures. Pure gold is almost never used in jewelry because it is much too soft, so it can be assumed that Khal Drogo’s gold is alloyed. However it does melt extremely quickly over the course of just a few seconds and that is not realistic. Chocolate wouldn’t even melt that fast.
3. When Tywin Lannister is butchering a deer carcass, it’s obvious that the carcass has already been prepped. This is noticeable when he begins skinning it, as the hide around the foot of the animal is seen to peel back a little bit when he grabs hold of it and has a clean edge, which indicates it’s already been cut ahead of time.
4. Stannis says “when Eddard Stark learned the truth [about Cersei’s children], he told only me”. Eddard Stark wrote a letter about that and gave it to Tomard and told him deliver it to Stannis, but Tomard was killed before he could do so, thus Stannis could not hear the info from Eddard
5. When Robb is fighting off the bandits in the woods, his blade is already bloodied before he cuts anyone, though the blade was clean when he unsheathed it.
6. When Tyrion wakes up inside the skycell there are two skylights in the ceiling. However, when we get a long shot of the skycells, you can see this is impossible given the layout of the area. There are no holes in the floors above him.
7. After Barristan Selmy throws down his sword, the right-most Kingsguard facing him is unable to sheathe his sword while the four other Kingsguards do.
8. When Sam and the other Rangers talk about things such as corpses farting, just before the end there’s a shot over Sam’s left shoulder.A fur coat with a metal ring near the collar can be seen. When he says something about turnips and walks away, the collar’s been tucked in.
9. There is a shot of Daenerys emerging out of the tent where the witch is performing her sorcery with the stallion. As the camera pans around her, you can see she’s wearing a modern brown bra under her dress. Minutes later you can see the bra strap on her right shoulder.
10. When Margaery Tyrell is talking with to the orphans of the Battle of Blackwater Bay, as her handmaiden hands out toys to the children, an email notification sound from a computer on the set can be heard in the background. (OH MY GOD I TOTALLY HEARD THIS AND THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY)

Who care about 10 or 100 mistakes from a FICTIONAL tv show, it has entertained my wife and me for the past 3 seasons and will continue to do so. I would be more worried about how many bullets let fly in the average cops and robbers show only for no one to get killed or the fact that a bullet from a pistol can be so accurate from 200 plus metres when fired at a speeding car. My point is TV is for entertainment not Historical continuity.
1. You literally made no sense in that comment.
4. He’s killed in the book but the tv show is differant
11. When Arya practices sword fighting with her “dancing” teacher, the noises made by the wooden swords sound like metal hitting metal.
