It’s pretty hard to find an actor that’s as high profile as Andrew Garfield right now. That’s exactly why he was Stephen Colbert’s most recent guest on The Late Show. The once shy seeming guy who played Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network where he co-starred with Jesse Eisenberg has officially evolved into an A-List actor and potential Oscar Winner. At first Garfield took on the role of Peter Parker in The Amazing Spiderman and it appeared he might be headed down blockbuster alley.
However 2016 has been the year of amazing roles for the young British actor. First it was Hacksaw Ridge where he played “non-violent” soldier Desmond Doss in Mel Gibson’s directorial comeback. Next he’s starring in Martin Scorsese’s latest masterpiece called Silence which as expected is getting early Oscar buzz.
But as serious a guy Garfield can be on film, he definitely showed his comedic side on The Late Show as he and Colbert truly seemed to get along. And one other thing. Turns out that Stephen Colbert knows that Andrew Garfield is a gentle lover. While we don’t want to ruin what the means, the clip below can give you a much better sense of what we’re talking about.
See that and more from the charming super star. Best of luck to Andrew in his Oscar bids and hopefully he’s moved on permanently from The Amazing Spiderman franchise.
