It looks like Stephen Colbert is going to ride this political storm all the way into high ratings for the next 4 years. Can you really blame him? When Donald Trump gives you that much material on a given day you have to take it and run with it. I mean seriously, how could you not? So it came as no surprise when Stephen Colbert took to the stage to discuss Trump’s 2020 campaign slogan, “Keep America Great.”
Colbert gets right into the camera’s face with a big “No! No sir! Bad Trump! You do not get to do that yet. We just got done with the last election, you can’t start campaigning for re-election two days before you start the job you campaigned for.” The audience, upon hearing the new slogan, gives a collective sigh at which point Colbert offers up his analysis:
“So let me get this straight. You’re last slogan was Make America Great Again, and you’re new slogan is Keep America Great? Aren’t you skipping over a pretty important middle step there? The one where you make America great?”
At this point however, Colbert, or nobody should be surprised at this. Plus, look what worked to get Trump into the White House. Him already starting his 2020 campaign could turn out to be genius in a sadistic, screwed up, morally wrong kind of way. Check out the video below:
