Rosewood is a police procedural drama series that was created by Todd Harthan. It aired on Fox for the first time on September 23, 2015. It was renewed for a second series, after which it was canceled. This series aired for the final time on May 9, 2017. The series is about a private pathologist called Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. who works in Miami with the law enforcement. This series featured many talented actors and you may wonder what the members of the cast are up to now the series is over. Here is what happened to the cast members of ‘Rosewood’.
Morris Chestnut
Morris Chestnut played the lead role of Dr. Beaumont Darius Rosewood in the series. Although he was nominated for awards for his portrayal of this character and he has an impressive acting CV including both film and television roles, Chestnut has not had a role since ‘Rosewood’ ended.
Janina Lee Ortiz
Janina Lee Ortiz portrayed Detective Annalise Villa in ‘Rosewood’. Unlike Chestnut, Ortiz has worked since leaving ‘Rosewood’ and also has future projects in the pipeline. In the same year that ‘Rosewood ended, she had a role in the film ‘Girl’s Trip’. She also had a recurring role in ‘Shooter’. In 2018, she played the role of Andy Herrera in one episode of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and is portraying the same character in ‘Station 19′, in which she is one of the lead roles.
Gabrielle Dennis
Gabrielle Dennis played Rosewood’s sister Pippy Rosewood. She is continuing to enjoy a successful acting career. In 2018, she landed the role of Tilda Johnson, who is a lead cast member, in ‘Luke Cage‘. She made a guest appearance on ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ as one of the special guest diners. She is also playing Whitney Houston in ‘The Bobby Brown Story’.
Domenick Lombardozzi
Domenick Lombardozzi played Captain Ira Hornstock in the series. Lombardozzi has worked in the entertainment industry since 1993, so it is little wonder that he has found it easy to land new roles when ‘Rosewood’ finished. In terms of his television career, he played the role of Jerry in the pilot for a new series called ‘Doubt’ which aired in 2017. In film, he has played the role of Anthony Salerno in the film ‘The Irishman‘. This is set for release in 2019 and is directed by Martin Scorsese. It is based on the novel ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’ by Charles Brandt and was adapted into a screenplay by Steven Zaillian.
Lorraine Toussaint
Toussaint portrayed Rosewood’s mother, Donna Rosewood. Lorraine Toussaint has been in demand since the series ended. She played Rebecca in a single 2018 episode of ‘Grace and Frankie’ before landing the role of Cressida, a series regular in ‘Into the Badlands. She has also had roles in three films. In 2017, she played herself in ‘Girls Trip’ and the Nichelle in ‘Love Beats Rhymes’. In 2018, she played the role of Bo in the drama sci-fi film ‘Fast Color’. This film was directed by Julia Hart, who also co-wrote the movie with Jordan Horowitz.
