When I heard that the runtime for Fate of the Furious I kind of freaked out thinking that was just way too long (180 minutes). But after seeing the massive cast and some of the footage, I began to think, “this movie is going to move so fast no one’s even going to realize the runtime. Plus Fate of the Furious feels like it’s their crowned jewel of the franchise. While that may not be true yet, let’s wait and see. Now lets flip to another runtime piece of news.
When I heard that Justice League was going to be a whopping 170 minutes I felt very different. The reality is that DC’s first few movies did not make the greatest impression on me (or anyone) so the idea of an even longer movies meant that not only I, but the collective internet might have more ammo to make fun of the film if it doesn’t meet expectations.
In fact even IMDB was reporting the runtime would be this long. But remember folks. The movie is still eight months away and director Zack Snyder was very quick to put all of these long runtime rumors to bed. And remember, Snyder is very rarely on Twitter so this was legit.
@ZackSnyder Disappointed the JL movie is only 170 minutes… also curious as movie isn't finished yet, but IMDB knows exact running time?

@thejonberg Forgot to tell you that I screened the first cut of JL for IMDB. Thought that was standard WB procedure. No?

Unfortunately this tells us little but my assumption is that Snyder is admitting to the fact a whole lot more editing needs to be done.
