Real Life Young and the Restless Couples Who Met At Work

Young and the Restless fans love a good romance, and there is plenty of that going around Genoa City. The only problem we have with that is that it’s always with people who aren’t supposed to be together. Like a man who is married to a woman who went to prison for a year because she accidentally caused an accident that killed an unborn baby and the baby’s mother but he’s making out with another woman whom he is not married to with no thought to his wife or their kids. But that is beside the point. With the season of love already here and ready to go, we want to take a moment to sit back and appreciate what is going on around here. A lot of people go to work here and they meet one another, fall in love, and actually end up together. Do they always last? Well, no, but they do make a go of it. Here are some of our favorite met-on-the-set of Genoa City couples.

Doug Davidson and Cindy Fisher

Paul Williams was the longest-running cast member on this show, and he did a darn good job of it. While he was all Paul-like and making mistakes, causing drama, and fixing problems, he met a lovely lady who was on the show back in the 80s. They worked together, fell for one another, and they called it a day. We mean a very long day, too, because they married back in 1984 and they’ve been together ever since. They have two kids, and they are very happy together if their interviews and photos of them tell us anything. They seem like one of the happiest couples around, too. And, he also has his own longtime bromance with his best friend, Rockstar Rick Springfield. They’ve never parted ways, either. And we think that’s a special moment for all of them. What’s not to love about this entire situation and what it brings to the table?

Eileen Davidson and Vince Van Patten

She recently retired from her role as Ashley, but she’s still married to her longtime co-star and the man she met at work. Her husband was on the show a long time ago, around 2000. They met at work, and they began dating. They hit it off so fast that they thought they might be taking things a bit extreme in terms of their feelings for one another, but it’s worked for them. They got married in 2003, and they’ve been making it work ever since. They have one son together, and they are enjoying their time doing other things now that they are spending more time together because she is no longer on the show. We love to see them together, but we also want to see her make a comeback. He probably had no idea as a former tennis star that he would show up to work on a soap opera and end up leaving with a wife and a new baby mama. That’s something special.

Justin Hartley and Chrishell Hartley

So, when he was on the show making waves as Adam Newman, he was a huge fan favorite. Now he is a primetime television star on one of the hottest shows on television (This is Us) alongside a huge and amazing cast of people. You could say he got his start here, and you’d be correct. But he also got something else when he was at work — a wife. He met his wife on the show back in 2014 when she was on the show for a hot minute. They really seemed to click, and they stayed together. In fact, they got married recently, and they are living out their very own happily ever after. She’s not on the show at the moment, but she is making some waves over in Salem as Ben’s crazy sister who just returned and has Ciara in captivity trying to frame her own brother. It’s all crazy, and she’s kind of good at making us believe she’s just as crazy as her character seems on television. If that’s not something we can appreciate around here, what is? They make a beautiful couple, and we love to see them together.
