We mentioned Richard Browning a few weeks ago. This is the guy who is working on a real life Iron Man suit. And in the video we shared with you a few weeks ago you could tell that there were some kinks with the suit that needed to be worked out. Luckily he didn’t have a Tony Stark-like test run where he smashed into walls. Richard was smart enough to test his suit in an open area. But only 5 days after that first video came out, Richard released another one that I just saw for the first time today. Here’s a brief description of the suit.
The real-life Iron Man suit – christened Daedalus – is the brainchild of England’s Richard M. Browning, an ex-Royal Marine reservist who wants to build “an entirely new generation of human flight systems for commercial and entertainment applications.” Browning shows off the suit, which utilizes multiple Kerosene-fuelled micro gas turbine engines to achieve lift. The suit also requires a high level of core strength in order to control the engines, which put out 130 kilograms (or 286 pound-force) of thrust.
His latest video shows just how much closer we are to this suit being a reality.
