An attorney for Joe Giudice says the husband of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice has reported to prison. The couple pleaded guilty in 2014 to bankruptcy fraud, and Joe Giudice pleaded guilty to not paying about $200,000 in taxes. If you are wondering why both didn’t go to jail at the same time it’s because the judge staggered their sentences so that each one could watch their four daughters. Teresa Giudice got out of prison in December of 2015 after her sentence lapsed. Joe Giudice reported to Fort Dix’s federal prison in New Jersey on Wednesday to begin serving his 41-month term.
Their family attorney Jame Leonard says the day was emotional but that the Giudice family has a strong support system. Joe Giudice has been living in the country as a resident alien and is to be deported to Italy after completing his sentence. Teresa went on Twitter to thank everyone for their support saying “I want to thank all of you for the love & support you have shown my family during this difficult time. It means the world to all of us.”

OK now that this is out of the way and we’ve reported the news it’s time to say something. Joe Giudice broke the law. Let me rephrase that. He knowingly broke the law. Fraud isn’t by accident or design. He and his wife are 100% guilty for trying to get away with not paying 200 grand in taxes as well as twerking bankruptcy so they could profit from it. Don’t get me wrong, we’d all like to get away with not paying a nickel in taxes but that doesn’t mean you actually try it. It’s just comical to me that this is what we’re talking about right now. Let’s face it. Joe probably isn’t the greatest guy in the world. He knew what he was doing as did Teresa. And yet people are showing all of this “support?” Yeah, jail is a crappy place but don’t break the law! Pay your taxes. Is it really that hard? Are we to feel so bad for this family that we write them letters of support? They make good money and didn’t pay their taxes. Seriously, I don’t get it. Plus Joe is being deported to Italy after all of this? So he wasn’t even legally in this country to begin with? Didn’t terrorists just blow up an airport in Brussels and kill over 30 people? How is this news?
