Pierce Brosnan is 63-years-old so it would be tough to imagine him in the role as Cable simply due to the fact that Brad Pitt and Michael Shannon’s names have been attached to the role. Nevertheless Brosnan’s name as also been mentioned as a potential Cable in the movie Deadpool 2. Brosnan was on hand at Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss his painting as well as upcoming exhibit in Paris. Turns out that Brosnan is quite the artist and Kimmel shared some of Brosnan’s paintings on the show.
However the subject quickly turned to Deadpool. You might recall Ryan Reynolds’ famous Instagram of him, Brosnan and Hugh Jackman from a few months back which prompted Kimmel to say, “Are you going to play Cable in the next Deadpool movie?” His response? “Not true.”
“Nothing’s come my way yet, I mean,” Brosnan continued. “It was completely made up. We were sitting, waiting for a plane, the three of us. And the guys said, ‘Quick, let’s get a photograph!’ I jumped in the middle and Mr. Reynolds said, ‘Let’s do the three wise monkeys.’ He put it out there and it went viral.”
