When it comes to the world of reality shows, there are those who have reached the status of royalty. You have the Kardashians, love them or hate them, and you have Paris Hilton. Hilton has kind of been out of the reality television lime light for a while, but she still has audience appeal and there has been no shortage of television producers attempting to get her cast in a reality television spot. For the longest, the answer has been no – leading many critics and PR experts to come to the conclusion that maybe the heiress as simply outgrown the need for all of the attention.
But wait a minute, just when you thought she was out for good, the rumors begin to circulate, which prove that she still has the juice to create a stir with the simple mention of her name.
We are currently experiencing a universal renaissance in, well almost everything. Anything that once went out of style, or just died off, is being brought back with a vengeance. Everything from Juicy Couture, chokers and even boot cut jeans (For heaven’s sake, why?) have made a comeback, and if these things can experience a resurgence why not Paris Hilton?
Paris has always been considered somewhat of a fashion icon, but her biggest splashes in the media were not based on her fashion sense but her antics in reality television. Her previous brush with reality television featured her and childhood friend, Nicole Richie, which introduced the heiress to the Hilton fortune to the world at a rate that simply caused Paris fatigue. You can have too much of anything, and the world had an overdose of Paris.
When Paris retreated from the spotlight, many took that to mean that she was retiring from reality television to move on to the next phase of her life; however, according to sources near the celebrity, she may have been simply taking the time to recharge. If the rumors are accurate, it is very likely that Paris Hilton is on her way back.
Through her Twitter account, Paris shared that not only will fans be seeing her on television, but they will also hear her new music. It is obvious that she is seeking to reenter into the world of celebrity with the vengeance.
While this is not the first time that Paris has attempted to revive her reality television persona, including a one-season run of The World According to Paris, in 2011, this is a little bit further up the road, having given the idea of nostalgia to set in – making fans a bit hungrier to see what the fashion icon and heiress has been up to since she exited left almost six years ago. With nostalgia setting in, this is a prime time for the resurgence of a reality show featuring Paris.
The writing on the wall reveals that the world is ready for another dose of Paris, which was revealed in the response of fans to the news that a documentary about the star would be released in 2016. While the documentary never materialized, the response of the public definitely emphasized their interest in engaging the flashy persona of Paris Hilton.
