My dad drinks. ALOT. He’s sweet and kind and nice normally. When he drinks he becomes the bruh we all hate. He thinks he’s the funniest thing ever. His drinking drove my mom into mental illness which then affected my siblings and I. It broke apart their marriage. We all still have mental illnesses (depression, eating disorders, control issues). He still drinks. He almost died from DT-ing last april. Family secret, we don’t talk about it. We don’t talk about the drinking or the impact it had/has on my family. None of our friends know about it. I hate alcoholism.
