Our Favorite Modern American Looks on House Hunters International

italian views

When you think of House Hunters International, it’s common to think of homes that have very different appeal. They aren’t very American in that not all these homes have the kind of space and amenities that American homes tend to have. However, sometimes you’re surprised with the look of homes in countries that you might not expect to see such modern décor in a room. When that happens, we sometimes wonder if we’re still watching the international version of the show. These five rooms are so modern and so Pinterest-perfect that we thought they might just be American. You might be shocked to find out where they are really from.

south american room

It’s not often you think of South America and get this. The big windows, the gorgeous views, the hardwood floors and the space are so reminiscent of something you’re more likely to find in the states. That doesn’t change the sheer beauty of it, though.

paris home

There is no denying that this living space in Paris is spot on, but it doesn’t look like something we might expect. It’s busy, large and very modern in terms of decor and style.

chile home

Gorgeous as this rustic room in Chile might be, it looks more like it belongs in a Lake Tahoe cabin or something in Colorado where the family gathers for Christmas and a little outdoor sports. It doesn’t look like something so far south and so much different than these states.

australian home

If you’re ever in Australia, you’ll note that it’s not too much different than America, but you still don’t expect to see a room like this one; like the one you live in at home.

australia home

This room is so modern and so much like the ones we see in every American home that it’s hard to believe it’s not even on the same side of the world. Another Australian home with a spectacular design, we love this one.
