In what’s easily been the most “revealing” teaser, promo, piece of information of the upcoming revival of Twin Peaks, today we got a 30 second glimpse of what the cozy little town looks like. Anyone else seeing this teaser might think to themselves, “what the hell is this?” But Twin Peaks fans know by now that to get any more information or hints than this would be less than likely.
With the premiere of Ray Donovan set to debut Sunday, August 6 at 9 PM, Showtime has announced starting that night the upcoming revival of Twin Peaks will move to 8 PM on Sundays.
Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new Showtime 18-part limited event series picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. Twin Peaks is written and executive produced by series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost, and is executive produced by Sabrina S. Sutherland.
The series also stars returning cast members Mädchen Amick, Peggy Lipton, James Marshall, Michael Horse, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz, Dana Ashbrook, Sheryl Lee, Everett McGill, Russ Tamblyn, Sherilyn Fenn, and David Duchovny. In addition, an extensive and unique list of guest stars will appear including Laura Dern, Naomi Watts, Michael Cera, Trent Reznor, Jim Belushi and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
