It’s not easy to keep the audience guessing and still keep them entertained, though somehow Mia Goth has managed to do just that. Back in 2013 she managed to secure a big break by simulating a great deal of sexual content that was explicitly graphic. She also had to find a way to intimidate and even overpower men that should have, by all rights, been able to take her down without much of a fight. Of course having a gun in hand does help. If you really want to find out the rest of Nymphomaniac II goes then go on and Google it, but don’t say no one warned you. Lars von Trier’s unrated psychosexual film was a stunning piece that had a lot of people sitting with eyes wide open and a look of pure shock on their faces upon viewing, and yet it became a staging ground for Mia, who showed that beneath her quiet and unassuming looks was a true artist to the manner born.
She keeps people guessing.
Ever since this film Mia has managed to find ways to continually subvert the innocent facade she wears so naturally. Her big brown eyes, button nose, and the pout that she does so well are only a front it seems for the desire she carries to flirt with the weirdest, most sexual roles she can find. One might say that she’s finding her identity, or perhaps spreading herself across the page for sheer joy of it, but it’s not known for certain since, let’s face it, this is a job and those that step in front of the camera are more often than not very good at hiding what lies beneath their expressions. Simply seeking out such work doesn’t mean much, save for the idea that she might have found her niche and is attempting to work it as much as possible.
She’s never had much formal training.
Much of what Goth does is instinctual as she’s admitted. Some might think that she’s spent years perfecting this ability to look so innocent and yet below the skin harbor a dark and unknowable secret that is just barely revealed to the camera. But in truth she’s done most of her acting based on what she feels others want. She had a very simple upbringing compared to many, but she has been giving her all to the process of modeling and acting ever since she was discovered. The one boon is that she believes in what she’s doing, and that makes a huge difference.
Not long after the movie wrapped, Goth got involved with her often emotional and over the top costar Mr. Shia Lebouef and the two were wed in October of 2017. They are a both off the beaten path when it comes their interests and what type of films they’re into, but Shia is nothing less than supportive of his wife and has little more than praise for her. While he might be a bit biased he’s not too far off the mark since filmmakers are quite impressed with Mia. She already has plans for several movie roles coming up and will be rubbing shoulders with some of the most famous people in Hollywood.
Thus far in her career Mia has taken on a great number of projects that have left her feeling quite drained and even a little overwhelmed. The young actress admits that she wants to feel this way and is glad that the movies she’s done thus far have left her completely divested of energy at the end of them. It allows her to believe that she has given the audience the very best she can and has performed to the best of her ability. So her act is a bit rough and a little raw now and again and might make people wonder about her after the show is over, that doesn’t make a lot of difference when it comes to how much satisfaction she gets from the job and the effort she puts into a role. Mia has been keeping people on their toes now for a little while and so long as he’s able to do it you can believe that she will.
This kind of acting and this lifestyle are truly for those that are young enough to appreciate it, as growing older many of us will come to realize that while it’s very appealing and even fun to think about, it’s something that age tends to strip away like so much else. Mia is young enough at this point that this kind of act will carry her through for a long time yet to come. As she ages she will be able to look back and say that she never let anyone know just what was really going on.
