Chicago fire is an American Illinois-based action- drama series starred by Jesse Spencer and Taylor Kinney. This drama series which premiered on NBC on October 12, 2012, was created by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt. It focuses on the life of paramedics and firefighters of the Chicago Fire Department who risk their lives daily to try and save those of others. It covers all the work from Firehouse 51, Engine Company 51, Truck Company 81, Ambulance 61, Battalion 25, and Squad Company 3, exploring both their professional and personal lives. Jesse Spencer as Captain Matthew Casey

Jesse Spencer, an Australian born actor, and singer who now resides in Los Angeles stars as Matthew Casey in the series. He is the captain of the Firehouse 51 team and is also in charge of the Truck Company 81. He previously acted as the Lieutenant and now serves as second in command to the Battalion Chief Wallace Boden. Despite his modest behavior both on and off work, Matthew is relentlessly protective of all his colleagues and commands a great deal of trust, loyalty, and respect. From season five to seven, Casey was married to Gabby Dawson who had to exit the show after the sixth season finale. He was promoted to Captain in Season Six episode 3 “An Even Bigger Surprise” by the 25th Battalion Chief, Wallace Boden.

Taylor Kinney as Lieutenant Kelly Severide

Taylor Kinney is an American based actor and model. According to IMDB. Taylor Kinney has been nominated twice for the People’s Choice Award as the favorite TV actor both in 2015 and 2017. Starring as Kelly Severide, he is the Lieutenant at Firehouse 51 and also the officer commanding Squad 3. Severide serves as third in command to Wallace Boden. Since their days in the academy, Kelly and Casey have been good friends despite the notable difference in their characters. Severide is portrayed to be more charming and often has a soft spot for ladies. Chief Benny Severide was his father and also a long-time friend to both Henry Mills and Chief Wallace Boden.

Eamonn Walker as Chief Wallace Boden

Wallace Boden is the Chief of Battalion of Firehouse 51; his fierce loyalty to the work-family is evident. He has served in this department for over 30 years, working alongside both Peter Mill’s father Henry Mills and Kelly Severide’s father, Benny Severide. His attitude has always been firm and fair, taking great pride in the firehouse and working tirelessly to protect its integrity. Eamonn acts as both a mentor and father figure to his colleagues.

David Eigenberg as Christopher Herrmann

David Eigenberg stars as Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann, a decorated firefighter and also the commanding officer of Engine 51. Herrmann is an entrepreneur who has gone through thick and thin to ensure his business stands. He now co-owns Molly’s bar with Dawson and Otis. He is married to Cindy Herrmann, and the couple has four sons and one daughter. Herrmann was promoted to Lieutenant by Chief Wallace Boden in season seven to replace the retiring Lieutenant and take charge of Engine 51.

Joe Minoso as Joe Cruz

Joe Cruz is a firefighter in squad 3. He is also the former driver of truck 81 and is now engaged to Chloe Allen. Cruz has a troubled younger brother who is a member of a street gang. His love for his brother once made him leave Flaco, the leader of his brother’s gang, to die in a fire.

Yuri Sardarov as Brian “Otis” Zvonecek

Yuri is talented actor whose skills have been mostly gained from theater. Otis became a driver of Truck Company 81 soon after Cruz’s transfer to Squad 3. From the season 7 finale, Otis gets injured in the cliffhanger where Firehouse 51 tirelessly fought a mattress factory fire. Cruz later dies in the first episode of season 8 with a crying Casey by his deathbed.

Christian Stolte as Randy “Mouch” McHolland

Christian Stolte is a Chicago-based actor born in St. Louis. According to NBC, he starred in his first big-screen film “The Public Eye.” He has also played other roles in major television series including “Turks,” “Prison Break” and “The Playboy Club. Randy “Mouch” McHolland is an experienced firefighter who will do anything on the scene and in the office to protect both his colleagues and his career.

Kara Killmer as Sylvie Brett

Kara Killmer is a native of Texas and a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance. Kara stars in Chicago Fire as Sylvia Brett. She transferred from a rural fire department in Indiana to department 51 after breaking up her engagement with her boyfriend in season three of the show. She worked extremely hard to prove herself and sooner than later she gets promoted to Paramedic in Charge after Jessica Chilton.

Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd

Rae Mayo is an American who originates from Fresno, California. Apart from acting, she is also a singer, songwriter and a former model. According to information Cradle, Miranda Rae Mayo is known for playing a role in “Blood & Oil,” a top ABC soap opera back in 2015, as the daughter of Hap Briggs. Stella Kidd joins Firehouse 51 in season four episode 15. When her former firehouse is closed, she replaces Jimmy as a firefighter on truck 81.

Annie Illonze as Emily Foster

Annie Illonze was born and raised in Dallas to a Nigerian father and a polish mother. She starred in the action- drama thriller “Peppermint.” She also starred in Tupac’s biography “All Eyes on Me” as Kidada Jones. In “Chicago Fire,” Emily Foster joined firehouse 51 as a paramedic of Ambulance 61 after she got fired from Lakeshore Hospital for cheating on her boards.
