Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson will be starring in Black Adam as its titular character. According to an interview Johnson did with Men’s Health, the physical toll of training for the film impacted him: “The training we did for this movie was the most arduous I’ve ever done in my life.” For those unfamiliar with Johnson’s work, the actor started as a wrestler for WWE. His transition to acting began with roles in The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, The Rundown, and Walking Tall. Over the years, Johnson has become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors. His recent credits include blockbusters such as Jungle Cruise, Red Notice, Hobbs & Shaw, and Jumanji: The Next Level.
Aldis Hodge
Aldis Hodge will be portraying Carter Hall, an archeologist and the leader of the Justice Society of America. Hodge is an actor who is best known for his work on the television series Leverage and Straight Outta Compton. Born in North Carolina, Hodge began his career in commercials and music videos before making his television debut in the early 2000s. He has since appeared in several films and television shows, including Friday Night Lights and Leverage. Hodge stars in City on a Hill, appearing alongside Kevin Bacon as Decourcy Ward.
Noah Centineo
Noah Centineo will be playing Albert Rothstein in Black Adam. Centineo is best known for portraying Jesus Adam Foster in the TV series The Fosters. He also appeared in How to Build a Better Boy, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Charlie’s Angels. On TV, aside from The Fosters, Centineo had a recurring role in the AwesomenessTV series Tagged.
Sarah Shahi
Sarah Shahi will play the role of Adriann Tomaz, a university professor, in Black Adam. Shahi is most notable for her roles in projects like The L Word, Fairly Legal, and Person of Interest. Her movie credits include Hangman, Bad Therapy, and American 11, which premiered in 2020.
Marwan Kenzari
Marwan Kenzari plays the role of Ishmael Gregor in the movie Black Adam. The Dutch actor is best known for his role in 2013’s Wolf, earning a Golden Calf award for Best Actor. He also appeared in Aladdin and The Old Guard.
Quintessa Swindell
