It seems like a lot of actors want to get in on the assassin role these days, and now it must be Margot Robbie’s turn. That kind of makes sense at least since she’s already been the bad girl and has held down some serious roles in the recent past, so now it might be time for something pleasantly in between. Terminal looks like it might be kind of a chase around the bend kind of movie though since it seems as though she’s pitting a couple of people against each other while trying to play her own angle at the same time. To be honest it looks like a film that’s got plenty of action but will take some real attention to get through and understand.
Robbie however has proven that she’s a fun actress to watch and might be on the same caliber as others that have made their own way through the industry in the past. She’s had her full-on roles and her cameos and she’s been serious as well as a bit goofy. But one thing she hasn’t been yet is boring, so hopefully that moment won’t be coming any time soon. This film looks like it might get kind of dark and twisted but still have a sense of humor. It’s kind of like taking Harley Quinn and giving her a much deadlier purpose than anything she’s done to date. But since she excelled at that role it’s easy to say that this film should be something kind of special since it appears that she’s going to be taking on the bad-girl persona again. This time though it looks as though she’s going to be working under the auspices of being a stripper as well as an assassin and possibly a businesswoman that will try to pit two men against one another in a bid to see, well, something. So far it’s a little hard to figure out without really going into great detail, but it looks interesting enough to go and see when it does make its way to theaters.
The film isn’t coming out until May so we’re going to have to wait and see just how good it is, but the trailer seems to indicate that it’s going to worth at least taking a peek and seeing if it’s wroth the kind of hype that’s going into it already. Keep in mind that any part Robbie’s been in up to this point hasn’t been anything but good to great, unless of course you’re a much more severe critic than some. It might seem like she’s banking on her looks again, and it’s possible, but she’s also shown that she has acting talent and is able to take a role and mold it what she wants so long as she’s allowed to do so. That’s why it might be good to keep a little faith in her performance, especially since she has yet to really peak when it comes to her acting.
Harley Quinn was just a boost to her career, not the peak.
