Priests, if you’re the religious type, is the person you go to to confess your sins and to ask for forgiveness from the Big Guy upstairs. Though in this upcoming episode of Lucifer, it seems that a priest is in need of help from the Devil of all people which is really ironic. Then again, God can’t solve every problem on Earth so it’s only logical to make a deal with the Devil. Those of you who have your “priest walks into a bar” jokes, please keep them to yourselves, thank you.
A brief summary from FOX states that the priest, Father Frank, wants Lucifer to help him stop an underground drug operation that has set up shop at the neighborhood youth center while Malcolm comes up with a manipulative way to keep a closer eye on Detective Dan. I’m beginning to think that Malcolm is a dirty cop, but I don’t know for sure. Hopefully, this episode will give some insight into Malcolm’s plans and the answer to the question: why did Detective Dan shoot Malcolm?
I am also curious to find out what became of Maze after Lucifer told her that they’re done when he found out that she led Amenadiel to Dr. Martin in the previous episode. Is she still working at Lux and keeping her distance from her boss? Or will she confront Amenadiel in an attempt to get back into Lucifer’s good graces?
In the sneak peek clip below, we see Detective Decker and Lucifer on the case along with Father Frank. Lucifer, being Lucifer, decided to play priest and sat in the confession booth to listen to a young woman confess her sins. Then again, it may just be a ploy to listen to a person’s deepest, darkest secrets. Good thing Detective Decker will be there to keep him in line, or try to anyway. You know, the more I think about it, the more I see a bit of Patrick Jane in Lucifer. They both have unique abilities to get people to say what they want them to say and they both irk the hell, excuse the pun, out of their respective partners in law enforcement. It’s times like these that I wish The Mentalist was still on the air so it can do a cross-over episode with Lucifer. Sacramento’s not that far from Los Angeles right?
